Prayer for the Dead

Due to McVitie suffering a heart attack, Taggart is promoted to Acting Superintendent. A young Polish girl, Anna Palaski, is murdered and preliminary enquiries establish a link with a known drug pusher. When another young girl meets a similar fate and the wife of a leading suspect is also murdered, Taggart wonders if Jardine and Reid are up to the job.
