The adventures of Peter Parker unfold in his college years after a radioactive spider bite transforms him into the caring crime fighter, Spider-Man. His fearsome battles against the forces of evil sit uncomfortably alongside a job as freelance photographer at the Daily Bugle, romantic encounters with the editor’s secretary Betty Brant and caring for his elderly Aunt May Parker.

The 1980s syndicated sequel to the original animated series elevates Marvel’s® most famous character, Spider-Man, from comic books to the television screen. Adapted from the newspaper sketches of John Romita Sr., this DVD release features the first seven spine-tingling episodes of the series.

A tidal wave of crime engulfs New York as the webbed wonder Spider-Man swings in to protect the city from an amazing ensemble of classic villains including Doctor Octopus, the Lizard, Sandman, Magneto and Mysterio. Meanwhile a six-part story arc kicks off with his battles against Doctor Doom.

New Year arrives with a bang when the jewel thief Black Cat creates bedlam at the Bugle. Spider-Man gets caught up in a game of cat and mouse as she sets her beady eyes on a famous artifact.

Sandman steals radioactive soil samples from space to unleash a wave of bank robberies. Hopes of a happy ending are sinking fast as the villain slips Spider-Man’s grasp and Peter Parker faces expulsion from college.

The Earth is held to ransom when Magneto hijacks power supplies by satellite. Spider-Man engineers a hi-tech showdown with the manipulative mutant in a bid to shield the nation from a communications disaster.

The youth of New York are entranced by disco music at the hands of nightclub owner and master hypnotist Mysterio. Spider-Man will have to record his greatest hit to escape an explosive ending.
